Terms and Conditions

These terms cover the Xmobile mechaniX website and the mobile repair work Daniel Eck does at a location you give us. Booking a roll-out, submitting a quote form, or paying an invoice means you agree to this page. If you do not agree, do not book.

This is a working shop policy for a one-owner mobile business. It is not legal advice.

1. Who we are
Xmobile mechaniX is owned and operated by Daniel Eck (“we,” “us,” “the shop”). We come to you. We are not a brick-and-mortar waiting room and we do not store customer vehicles overnight unless we say so in writing for that job.

Service area: [city / metro / state]
Contact: [phone] · [email you check]

2. The website
The site is for information, quotes, and booking. Prices, service lists, and time windows on the site are examples or starting points unless a written estimate for your vehicle says otherwise. Photos and the logo are ours. Do not copy the mark, the skull, or the diamond-plate lockup for your own use.

We may change hours, service area, or what we will take on. A form submission is a request, not a guaranteed appointment, until we confirm the window by phone, text, or email.

3. Booking a roll-out
Give a real name, working phone, vehicle year/make/model, the problem in one sentence, and a place we can legally and safely work (driveway, lot, yard).
You must have the right to authorize work on that vehicle.
We confirm the window. Traffic, a prior job that runs long, weather, and parts houses can move that window. We will tell you if we are slipping.
If we cannot reach you at the number on the booking and cannot find the vehicle, that visit may be treated as a no-show.
4. Access and a safe place to work
Mobile work needs room, light, and a surface that is not a live lane of traffic. You agree to:

Have the vehicle on site at the confirmed window, or tell us before we roll.
Give us a place to park the shop vehicle and work without blocking a fire lane or getting ticketed.
Keep kids, pets, and bystanders out of the immediate work area.
Tell us about a slope, soft ground, a low garage, a locked gate, an HOA rule, or a dog that will meet us at the bumper.
If the site is unsafe or we cannot legally work there, we can decline the job on arrival. A trip charge may still apply if we came out in good faith.

5. Diagnosis, estimates, and authorization
A look and a scan are not a finished repair. We will tell you what we found and what we recommend before we order parts or start work beyond the agreed diagnostic.

Verbal or text approval from the number or email on the booking is authorization for that extra work and its price range.
If we cannot reach you and the vehicle is not safe to leave as-is, we will secure it as best we can and stop. We do not invent extra work to keep the clock running.
Estimates can change when a bolt snaps, a part is the wrong one in the box, or the failure is deeper than the first test showed. We stop and ask before we spend more.
6. Parts
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we choose parts that fit the job and the budget you approved — OEM, aftermarket, or quality used when that is the honest option. Core charges, environmental fees, and same-day parts-house runs are extra when they happen.

Parts we special-order are yours once they land unless the supplier takes them back. If you cancel after we have bought a non-returnable part for your vehicle, you pay for that part.

7. Payment
Payment is due when the work is done, unless we agreed to a different term on the invoice. We may ask for a diagnostic or parts deposit before we roll or before we order.

We accept the methods listed on the invoice or site (card, cash, or other stated method).
Card payments run through a processor. The shop does not store full card numbers.
A vehicle may not leave the work location, or a parts order may not start, until the agreed amount is paid.
Returned payments and chargebacks that lose may include the processor fee and the unpaid balance.
Trip / roll-out fees, if we charge them, are earned when we arrive at the address you gave, even if you then decline the repair.

8. Cancellations and no-shows
Cancel or move the window as soon as you know. Same-day cancels and no-shows after we are already rolling may be billed the trip charge. Repeat no-shows can lose future bookings.

9. What we warrant — and what we do not
Workmanship on the repair we actually performed is warranted for [90 days or 4,000 miles, whichever comes first — change this if your real policy is different]. Parts follow the supplier’s warranty, if any. Bring the vehicle back to us first so we can look at it.

This warranty does not cover:

A different system than the one we repaired.
Abuse, racing, off-road use you did not disclose, or someone else turning wrenches on the same job after we left.
Rusted, seized, or contaminated parts that fail because of age or prior neglect, when we told you that risk before we started.
Towing, rental cars, lost wages, or hotel bills.
A vehicle we only diagnosed and you declined to fix.
Except for the workmanship promise above, the shop makes no other warranty, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent your state lets us say that.

10. Limits of liability
We work on vehicles that already have a problem, often outside, often on rusted hardware. We take ordinary care. We are not an insurer of the car, the contents, or your day.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, or the cost to redo the work we performed incorrectly. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost use, missed work, spoiled cargo, or data in the vehicle’s modules — except where a statute says we cannot limit that.

Some states do not allow certain limits. If yours does not, those sentences do not apply to you, and the rest of this page still does.

11. Old parts, fluids, and photos
Replaced parts are shop property unless you ask to keep them before we leave. Fluids are disposed of in the ordinary way. We may take photos of the vehicle and the repair for the invoice and our records. We will not post your plate or house number without asking. See the Privacy Policy.

12. Things we may refuse
We can decline or stop a job if the vehicle is unsafe to work on in place, the request is illegal, you are hostile, payment fails, or the work is outside what a mobile setup can do honestly. We will say so and charge only for diagnosis and time already spent, plus any trip fee that applies.

13. Website accounts and conduct
Do not abuse the forms, scrape the site, or submit fake bookings. We can delete a request that looks like spam. Content on the site is provided as-is. We are not responsible for third-party pages we link to (maps, parts catalogs, social profiles).

14. Privacy
How we handle name, phone, address, and vehicle data is on the Privacy page. Booking work is also consent to transactional calls and texts about that job.

15. Changes
We can update these terms. The effective date at the top will change. New bookings follow the page that is live that day. A job already invoiced stays under the terms that applied when you authorized it, plus whatever invoice you signed or approved by text.

16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [state], without a fight about whose law applies. If a piece of this page is unenforceable, the rest stays. The English text is the official text.
